Sixteenth Stop: BBC Radio Cumbria

   

It's over to BBC Radio Cumbria for an interview with Paul Braithwaite who has put Gulp! under the spotlight.  Cumbria is an absolutely gorgeous part of England formed from the old counties of Cumberland, Westmorland, and part of North Lancashire.  Inside is the infamous Lake District National Park, an area some 30 miles across, containing England's highest mountains (four over 3000 ft), and some of Englands biggest lakes.

Thirteenth Stop: Penguin Podcast

It's over to Penguin now to their central London offices in The Strand.  Penguin UK were the brave souls who decided to give me a book deal and who published Gulp! earlier this year in May.  Special thanks must go to Kate Adams, Katy Szita and Sarah Rollason for their leap of faith!

In true visionary form (like the founder of Penguin), they were the first publisher to launch podcasting.  And here's the one that Jeremy recorded for Gulp!.

First Stop: Podcast at Writers FM

The first stop on the tour today is Writers FM, an online radio station broadcasting quality content for writers across the globe, run by Karl Moore. We had a great trip down memory lane as Karl asked all about my writer's journey; from drafting out proposals at the kitchen table, to finding an agent, to signing a contract with Penguin and then of course writing the book that became Gulp! and delivering it all on time. Phew, what a journey!
